On 25th March, in order to further study and implement the spirits of the national university ideological and political work conferenceconvened by the party central committee in the December of 2016, " the 2017 frontier forum of social sciences of chinese colleges--the seminar of strengthening and improving the ideological and political work in universities under new situation " was jointly organized by the Social Science Development Research Center of the education ministry and Central China Normal University, which held in the Science Hall of Central China Normal University. The experts of the relevant fields in the philosophy of social sciences and marxism from different scientific research institutions and more than 80 universities of China attended the meeting, andissued opinions on how to further develop and promote ideological and political work in colleges. Professor Qi Weping was invited to attend and speak.
Professor Qi Weping deemed that " The theory may be boring, but it has a different effect by storytelling. The courses of ideological and political theory in colleges should tell the Chinese story well, and such Chinese stories are countless. There is no lack of materials for such wonderful stories that the relationship between the development of the Communist Party of China over the 95 years, our country and people, the distance it has travelled, the ideas it has formed, the things it has deduced. Socialism with Chinese characteristics is an innovative practice, and the Chinese profound social changes lead to the countless stories. This great cause is the best material for the ideological and political theory courses to tell the story of China."
